888 Racing is the home of talented thoroughbred trainer Dean Binaisse. Based on the stunning Mornington Peninsula directly adjacent to the Mornington racecourse, 888 Racing is set on a state of the art property that ensures that every horse that comes under their care is given every possible chance to show it's ability on the racetrack.

Dean is a renowned judge of type and has made a habit of plucking beautifully conformed yearlings from the major sales at bargain prices. Stakes  class horses like Carnero, Anabaa's Legacy, and city winner Devil's Nite are testament to this.

Dean's training philosophy is simple - keep a horse happy and healthy in a natural environment, and by treating each animal like an individual with  plenty of hands on care, you will get the best out of it.

It took a few years, but Dean Binaisse's passion for racing eventually led him to a successful career as a thoroughbred trainer. Beginning his working  career as a carpenter, Dean completed his builders’ apprenticeship and started his own business. But as enjoyable as he found building houses, Dean  wanted the chance to try and build a stable, and so he set out to pursue his first love, racing.

Dean learnt much of his trade by working for free at various stables around Cranbourne. During this time, he was fortunate enough to work with a  number of top class gallopers including Group 1 winner and now outstanding broodmare Circles Of Gold, dam of Group 1 gallopers Elvstroem and  Haradasun.

The move to Mornington proved to be a masterstroke, as Dean's new property led directly onto the Mornington track, and was well appointed with plenty of room for development and improvement. Dean’s love of racing is infectious, and he enjoys sharing his passion with his owners, especially when celebrating a big win. Nothing satisfies him more than selecting a yearling, watching its development, and then watching it win.
